These Turning Heavens: An Aethereal VR Experience

These Turning Heavens is an interactive VR experience that invites its audience into an immersive cosmos where they create and orchestrate celestial bodies. Inspired by Khayyam's verses, players guide starlings – protostars on the brink of life – through transformation and harmony.

As stars move in orbit, each one shapes the celestial soundscape. When the final supernova fades into silent darkness, the vast mystery of the heavens lingers, echoing existence's fragility and grandeur.

The experience was featured at the Southampton Arts and Humanities Festival 2024, the University of Southampton's annual celebration of Humanities and the Arts.
