An Ancient Roman Villa Tour: Cultural Heritage in VR

This demo offers a glimpse into the capabilities of VR for visualising, documenting and experiencing cultural heritage.

As part of our VR-based R&D initiatives at Crytek Istanbul, I undertook level design and VR experience programming to develop a tour of an ancient Roman villa, using assets from Crytek’s video game title Ryse: Son of Rome. Original 3D art and level design credit goes to Crytek GmbH.

This foundational work paved the way for our subsequent Journey to the Past in VR and Çanakkale Martyrs’ Memorial VR Tour projects at Crytek Istanbul.
