Geospecific Simulation

Geospecific VR Visualization of a Rural Area and Arduino Gun Trigger

2016–2017 Role Level Designer, VR R&D Consultant

Developed for a military simulation intended for Leopard 2A4 tank operators and dismounted soldiers, this project presents a geospecific VR visualisation of a rural area.

As the level designer of the project, I used OpenStreetMap data and satellite imagery, semi-procedurally combining them with manual interventions to generate accurate area representations for military simulations.

For the dismounted soldier training simulation, an Airsoft Gun VR Trigger system was developed to turn airsoft guns into VR controllers with recoil, using Arduino to register trigger signals as a wired input device.
